Aim of this Automatic Indications and Control of Chemicals In Process Industries project is to design a automation system where human work can be reduce and provide security alerts
Purpose of this project is to reduce manual work and increase secured way of chemical handling inside a cotton plant.
BACKGROUND OF THE PROJECT
In present system most of the industries like cotton mills are using manual method for processing cotton at different stages. In this method chemicals are used to clean cotton which are done through different levels. In first level chemicals are sent to containers for processing which will take more than one hour for this monitoring one person should look after it and switch off after completing.
In present application we are using introducing automation method in which there is no need of any manual work to control chemical processing in containers. When liquid level is low motor will switch on if chemical level is high motor will switch off. Even though there are water level controlling systems this will not work with chemicals.
This application works on magnetic sensors which are placed at different locations on containers and floating magnets are used which will send signals about level of liquid and send information to microcontroller. Micro controller will send commands to control motor and show information on LCD screen. If chemical level is high motor will switch off if level is low motor will switch on.
Temperature sensors are used to control and inform about temperature. Temperature should be maintained at 39 deg. If temperature increases above this values buzzer drives siren.
In this application we are using 89s52 micro controller with magnetic sensors and level indicators. These sensors should not be in contact with chemical. For controlling temperature thermistor is used.
This application is useful in spinning mills and cotton industries to reduce manual work and automate process and increase security with alerts.
