Aim of prepaid water billing for water supply system is to design an automated system through which user can recharge prepaid amount for water supply .Based on amount recharged user will get water.


Purpose of this project is to provide a easy way of buying water with prepaid recharge which can help water department and users to get water and reduce wastage of water.

In any metro city getting water from water department is a very big task in order to manage available water without wasting water and at the same time generating revenue from water is important. Because of vast complicated water network with supply source and destination are located at different locations controlling water is a difficult task and monitor flow of water and manage water availability is also important. In order to accomplish this task we need extra man power. By implementing this system water wastage can be reduced and at the same time water department can generate money from water bills using automatic system.

In this embedded based smart card system we are using method to save water and generating revenue form water usage using a prepaid billing. In order to control flow of water automatic control of motor pump ( ON and OFF ) is designed using simple low cost device.

Auto control of Motor pump is done using smart card. Smart card are recharged by users and these cards are used with smart card reader to check if they are recharged or not based on amount of recharge is done that much amount of water will be provided. When smart cart is accepted by smart card reader motor will turn on and as the recharge amount is completed based on time calculation motor will turn off.  Process commands are done through microcontroller.
