Aim of diesel cars maintenance Remainder System project is to develop a simple hardware equipment for cards to get reminder information about status of diesel engines based on its maintenance status.

 PURPOSE:

Purpose of this project is to provide a secure method of information system for car drivers to know about status of engine maintenance and take precautions  for engine safety and help in secured driving and reduce risk of breakdown .

DESCRIPTION:

This embedded based hardware system is useful for providing security and informing in advance about breaks down of engine due to lack of maintenance.

In order to provide accurate information about engine running cycle we need to use a real time clock to watch total running hours of engine. Which will help in providing accurate information of engine?

 

We have used the on board timer0 by programming to achieve the clock function. This clock only runs when engine is running otherwise it does not advance. An engine starting information must be fed to microcontroller in order to start the clock

Temperature sensor is used to determine the engine temperature, if it is more than the threshold value then buzzer will buzzes the sound.

In this system we have used oil level sensors, temperature sensors, to calculate information regularly and update details to microcontroller. On board timers is used in programming to get accurate clock details. Clock is linked with engine running time. If engine runs then only clock will work. Both temperature and oil sensors will send message if values is crossed given threshold value.

LCD screen is used to display information of temperature values and oil level value if it crosses threshold.

RESULT:

By designing this project it is easy to know information of car engine and take decision on maintenance which will reduce risk factor.
